SELECTING THE PROPER LENGTH
While there are no set height-to-putter-length rules, these are the recommended guidelines when picking out a LEAN LOCK putter. To be in compliance with the USGA's rules on anchoring, the shaft must not extend past the elbow joint.

SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE LEAN LOCK METHOD & JACK NICKLAUS’ METHOD- THE GREATEST PUTTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME!
- Forward shaft lean at address
- Lead elbow bent and close to the body
- Trailing side slightly underneath
- Eyes over the ball
- Take the putter back low and finish high
- Set up in a slightly open position
THE LEAN LOCK PUTTING METHOD
With the shaft leaning forward so the putter rests flat to the ground, hold the putter with the trail hand only and the elbow bent as if you were going to putt with only that hand on the club. Choke down significantly on the grip with the shaft running up through the center of your palm so it is in line with your forearm.
The lead elbow should be bent and near the body at address. The lead hand and shoulder should be relaxed and passive, simply “along for the ride."
When the grip is correct, all four knuckles of the lead hand will be visible when looking down at address.
The shoulders should be open to the intended start line at address with the trailing elbow and shoulder feeling “underneath” and noticeably lower than the lead shoulder.
